Gaskets and sealing supplied from stock in Dubai
We hold spiral wound, ring joint, CNAF, PTFE and rubber gaskets from 1/2” through 24” and Class 150 to 2500, plus full sheet material and O-rings — and we cut gaskets to size, to standard flange dimensions or to your drawing.
The gasket is the cheapest component in a flanged joint and the one that decides whether the joint leaks. It is also the item most often ordered as an afterthought, in the wrong material, in the wrong class, at the point where the flanges are already hanging.
Gasket types
Spiral wound — a 316 stainless winding with a graphite or PTFE filler, with inner and outer rings as required, to ASME B16.20. This is the working standard for raised-face steel flanges from Class 150 to Class 900.
Ring joint (RTJ) — soft iron or 316, oval and octagonal, to API 6A and ASME B16.20, for ring-type joint flange grooves at Class 600 and above. These are not interchangeable with raised-face gaskets; the flange face itself is machined differently.
CNAF — compressed non-asbestos fibre sheet gasket, the general-purpose choice for lower duty water, air and oil service.
PTFE — virgin and expanded, for aggressive chemical service and where contamination matters.
Rubber — EPDM, NBR, Viton and neoprene, matched to the medium.
Choosing the elastomer
EPDM for water, chilled water and steam — and never for oil, which destroys it. NBR (nitrile) for oils, fuels and hydraulic media — and not for steam. Viton for aggressive chemistry and high temperature. Neoprene for general weather and moderate duty.
Cut to size
Gaskets are cut from sheet to standard flange dimensions, to a drawing, or from a template — including oval, rectangular and non-standard shapes for heat exchangers, manways and equipment covers.

What to specify when requesting a quote
Flange size and class, facing — raised face, flat face or RTJ — the gasket type and material, sheet thickness for cut gaskets, and the medium and operating temperature.

Gaskets & Sheets — frequently asked
- Which gasket should I use with a raised face flange?
- For most steel raised-face joints a spiral wound gasket with a 316 winding and graphite filler is the working standard. For lower duty, a CNAF or PTFE sheet gasket is often sufficient. Match the gasket to the flange class and facing, not just the bore.
- Do you cut gaskets to size?
- Yes. Gaskets are cut from CNAF, PTFE and rubber sheet to standard flange sizes or to your drawing, including non-standard and oval shapes. Send the dimensions or a template and we will confirm.
- What is the difference between EPDM, NBR and Viton?
- EPDM suits water, steam and chilled water but is destroyed by oils. NBR (nitrile) handles oils and fuels but not steam. Viton resists a wide range of chemicals and high temperature at higher cost. Tell us the medium and the temperature and we will specify.
- When is a ring joint gasket required?
- RTJ gaskets are used with ring-type joint flange grooves, typically at Class 600 and above and on wellhead and high pressure process equipment. They are not interchangeable with raised-face gaskets — the flange itself is machined differently.
- Do you supply full sheets as well as cut gaskets?
- Yes. CNAF, PTFE and rubber sheet is supplied in full 1000 x 1500mm sheets in a range of thicknesses, which is what most workshops keep on hand for cutting their own.
