Stainless steel butt weld fittings supplied from stock in the UAE

As a supplier of stainless steel butt weld fittings in Dubai we hold ASTM A403 WP304, WP304L, WP316 and WP316L elbows, tees, reducers, caps and stub ends, dimensioned to ASME B16.9, from 1/2” through 24”.

These are held entirely separately from our MS butt weld fittings. Mixing carbon steel and stainless in the same bin is how a 304 elbow ends up welded into a 316 line — a mistake that does not show up until the joint corrodes eighteen months later, usually in the least accessible part of the run.

Grades and the L variants

WP304 is the general-purpose austenitic grade. WP316 adds molybdenum for chloride resistance and is the working default anywhere near the Gulf coast or on any line carrying seawater, brine or process chemistry.

The L variants — WP304L and WP316L — are low carbon and matter specifically at the weld. Standard grades can precipitate chromium carbide in the heat-affected zone, stripping corrosion resistance exactly where the joint is most stressed. If it gets welded and then sees a corrosive medium, specify L.

Schedules and dimensions

Stainless runs on the ASME B36.19 S-series: SCH 5S, 10S, 40S and 80S, with 10S and 40S held deepest. The S series is thinner than the equivalent carbon schedule because stainless does not need the corrosion allowance — it is not a lighter-duty product, it is a correctly specified one.

Who buys stainless buttweld fittings from us

Desalination and water treatment contractors. Food, beverage and pharmaceutical fit-out teams working to hygienic standards. Marine and offshore maintenance crews. Chemical process plants on planned replacement.

Why buy from Fakhri Tools

Grade-marked, traceable stainless with certification confirmed before you commit. Fittings, pipe and flanges quoted as a matched set in one grade. Stock on the floor in the sizes that actually move, and an honest lead time on the sizes that do not.

What to specify when requesting a quote

Nominal size, schedule in the S series, pattern, exact grade — WP304, WP304L, WP316 or WP316L — and for reducing tees both the run and the branch. Tell us if you need mill certificates or a pickled and passivated finish.

Common Questions

Stainless Steel Butt Weld Fittings — frequently asked

What does the S mean in SCH 10S and SCH 40S?
The S denotes the stainless steel schedule series to ASME B36.19. Stainless is commonly run thinner than carbon steel because the material is stronger and more corrosion resistant, so SCH 10S is a genuine working wall thickness rather than a light-duty compromise.
Should I specify WP316 or WP316L?
Specify the L grade where the fitting will be welded into a line carrying a corrosive medium. Low carbon reduces carbide precipitation in the heat-affected zone, which is exactly where corrosion attacks a welded stainless joint first.
Do you hold stainless fittings in the same sizes as carbon steel?
Broadly yes, from 1/2" to 24", though stainless stock naturally runs deeper in the smaller and mid sizes where demand sits. Send the size and schedule and we will tell you what is on the shelf and what carries a lead time.
Can you supply pickled and passivated fittings?
Tell us on the enquiry if the job requires pickling and passivation or a specific surface finish. We will confirm what the batch carries before you order — it is not something to discover after the material reaches site.
Do you supply matching stainless pipe and flanges?
Yes. Stainless fittings, pipe and flanges are quoted together in matching grade and schedule, which avoids the common and expensive mistake of welding a 304 fitting into a 316 line.
