Pressure gauges and instrumentation supplied from stock in Dubai

We hold pressure, vacuum, compound and temperature gauges to EN 837-1 in stainless 316 and brass, dry and glycerine filled, from 50mm to 150mm dial, alongside the needle valves, gauge cocks, syphons, snubbers and 316 compression tube fittings that go with them.

A gauge is only as good as what is between it and the process. Fitted straight onto a pump discharge it will be unreadable in a week and dead in a month; fitted with a snubber and a gauge cock it will still be accurate in five years.

Gauge types

Pressure gauges from 0 to 1000 bar, dry for static lines and glycerine filled where vibration or pulsation is present. The fill damps the needle, keeps the reading legible and multiplies the life of the movement.

Vacuum gauges from -1 to 0 bar, and compound gauges reading both vacuum and positive pressure for pump suction and process lines that see both.

Bimetal temperature gauges from 0 to 500 °C in stainless, with matching thermowells to order.

The accessories that matter

Syphons — pigtail and coil — trap condensate so live steam never reaches the gauge element. On a steam line a gauge without a syphon is a consumable.

Snubbers restrict the inlet to damp rapid pulses from reciprocating pumps and compressors.

Needle valves and gauge cocks in 316 and brass isolate the gauge so it can be changed without draining the line, and let it be zeroed in service.

Instrument tube and fittings

Double-ferrule compression fittings in 316 and 316L from 1/8” to 1”, with matching A269 seamless instrument tube, needle valves and 2-valve and 5-valve manifolds — so an impulse line can be quoted complete from the process tapping to the transmitter.

Who buys instrumentation from us

Instrumentation and control contractors. Process plant maintenance teams. Compressor and pump service engineers. Water treatment and desalination operators.

What to specify when requesting a quote

Dial size, pressure range, case and wetted-part material, dry or glycerine filled, connection size and thread form, bottom or back entry, and whether a calibration certificate is required.

Common Questions

Pressure Gauges & Instrumentation — frequently asked

Why are some pressure gauges glycerine filled?
The fill damps needle vibration and shock, which keeps the reading legible and dramatically extends gauge life on pump discharge lines, compressors and anywhere with pulsation. On a vibrating line, a dry gauge will be unreadable and then broken.
What is a syphon used for?
A syphon — a pigtail or coil between the process and the gauge — traps a column of condensate that keeps live steam off the gauge element. On any steam line it is not an accessory, it is what stops the gauge being destroyed within weeks.
What is a snubber?
A snubber restricts the flow into the gauge to damp rapid pressure pulses, protecting the movement on reciprocating pump and compressor lines. It does a similar job to glycerine filling and the two are often used together.
Should the gauge connection be bottom or back entry?
Bottom entry is the standard for pipe-mounted gauges. Back entry (centre or lower back) is used for panel mounting. Confirm the entry, the dial size and the thread — 1/4" or 1/2" BSP or NPT — when you order.
Do you supply calibrated gauges with certificates?
Calibration certificates are available on request for gauges used where accuracy has to be demonstrated. Tell us the required accuracy class and whether a traceable certificate is needed before you order.
