MS pipe supplied from stock in Dubai
As an MS pipe supplier in Dubai we hold carbon steel pipe in ASTM A106 Gr B seamless, ASTM A53 Gr B ERW and API 5L Gr B line pipe, from 1/2” through 24” and across SCH 20 to XXS.
Mild steel pipe is the backbone of process, utility and structural pipework. It welds predictably, it takes a fitting cleanly, and it costs a fraction of stainless. Where the medium is corrosive or the line is buried in wet ground, look at our GI pipes or stainless pipes instead.
Seamless or welded
A106 Gr B seamless has no longitudinal weld and is rated for high temperature service. It is the specification for steam, process and oil and gas lines, and it is what a drawing means when it says seamless.
A53 Gr B ERW is electric resistance welded and is a general-purpose grade for lower duty — utilities, low pressure air, general fabrication. It is materially cheaper, and it is not a substitute for A106 where A106 is specified.
API 5L Gr B is line pipe for hydrocarbon transmission, held from 2” to 24”.
Schedules and dimensions
Pipe is dimensioned to ASME B36.10. Stock runs SCH 20, 40 and 80 across the range, with SCH 160 and XXS in the smaller and mid bores. The schedule sets the wall thickness and therefore the bore, so a “4 inch pipe” is not a complete specification until the schedule is attached to it.
Cut to length
We cut pipe to your list from stock. On a congested site that is the difference between taking delivery of what the drawing calls for and taking delivery of full random lengths plus a cutting problem.
Who buys MS pipe from us
Fabrication workshops making up spools. Oil and gas maintenance teams. MEP contractors on chilled water, steam and compressed air. Structural fabricators using pipe as section.
What to specify when requesting a quote
Nominal size, schedule, grade — A106, A53 or API 5L — seamless or ERW, the lengths you need, and whether mill test certificates are required.
Common Questions
MS Pipes & Tubes — frequently asked
- What is the difference between A106 and A53 pipe?
- A106 is seamless and intended for high temperature service, making it the standard for process, steam and oil and gas lines. A53 covers both welded (ERW) and seamless and is a general-purpose grade for lower duty. Where a drawing specifies A106, an A53 substitution is not equivalent.
- Do you cut pipe to length?
- Yes. Pipe is cut to your lengths from stock, which saves both the offcut waste and the transport of full random lengths onto a congested site. Give us the cut list with the size and schedule and we will confirm it with the quote.
- What schedules do you hold in MS pipe?
- SCH 20, SCH 40 and SCH 80 across the common sizes, with SCH 160 and XXS held in the smaller and mid bores. SCH 40 is the deepest stock. Confirm the schedule as well as the nominal size, since the bore and the wall both change with it.
- Is your pipe supplied with mill test certificates?
- Certification is available on most batches of A106, A53 and API 5L. Tell us at enquiry stage that you need MTCs and we will confirm what the batch carries before the order is placed.
- Do you supply pipe already painted or coated?
- Pipe is supplied black or with a mill varnish as standard. For buried or exposed service we can advise on wrapping and coating options and quote them with the pipe. For corrosion resistance in water service, galvanised pipe is usually the better answer.
