As a supplier of MS butt weld fittings in Dubai we hold carbon steel elbows, tees, reducers, caps and stub ends in ASTM A234 WPB, dimensioned to ASME B16.9, from 1/2” through 24” and across the working range of schedules.
Buttweld is what you specify when the joint has to be as strong as the pipe and as smooth as the bore — full penetration, no crevice, no leak path. It is the standard for process, steam and any line that matters. For smaller bore and lower pressure work, our MS threaded and forged fittings are usually the more economical answer.
Grades, schedules and dimensions
ASTM A234 WPB is the working carbon steel grade and covers the overwhelming majority of what leaves the counter. Fittings are dimensioned to ASME B16.9 for the standard patterns and ASME B16.28 for short radius elbows and returns.
Stock runs SCH 10 through SCH 160, with SCH 40 and SCH 80 held deepest. A fitting is matched to the pipe wall thickness rather than just the bore, so the schedule is not optional information — a SCH 40 elbow will not weld cleanly to SCH 80 pipe without a transition.
For high temperature service, WP11 and WP22 chrome-moly fittings are sourced to order.
Patterns we hold
Long radius 90° and 45° elbows as the default, short radius where the space will not take a long radius, equal and reducing tees, concentric and eccentric reducers, caps and stub ends. Eccentric reducers matter more than buyers expect — on a pump suction line the flat side prevents an air pocket that will cavitate the pump.

What to specify when requesting a quote
Nominal size, schedule, pattern — elbow, tee, reducer, cap — the radius for elbows, concentric or eccentric for reducers, and the run and branch sizes for reducing tees. Add quantity per line and whether mill certificates are required.

- What is the difference between a long radius and short radius elbow?
- A long radius elbow has a centreline radius of 1.5 times the nominal diameter and is the default, because it creates less pressure drop and less turbulence. A short radius elbow is 1.0 times the diameter and is used only where space genuinely will not allow the long radius.
- Do your A234 WPB fittings come with mill certificates?
- Certification is available on most batches. Tell us on the enquiry that you need mill test certificates and we will confirm what comes with the material before you place the order rather than after delivery.
- When do I need an eccentric reducer rather than a concentric one?
- An eccentric reducer keeps one side of the pipe flat, which prevents air pockets on a pump suction line and allows drainage on a horizontal run. Concentric reducers keep the centreline aligned and suit vertical runs. Tell us the orientation and we will confirm.
- What schedules do you hold?
- SCH 10, SCH 20, SCH 40, SCH 80 and SCH 160 across the common sizes, with SCH 40 and SCH 80 the deepest stock. Give us the nominal size and schedule together, since a fitting is matched to the pipe wall, not just the bore.
- Do you supply alloy fittings as well as carbon steel?
- Yes. WP11 and WP22 chrome-moly fittings are supplied for high temperature service and are sourced to order in most sizes. Send the grade, size and schedule and we will confirm lead time before you commit.
