GI threaded pipe fittings supplied from stock in Dubai
We hold galvanised malleable iron fittings to BS EN 10242 from 1/4” through 6” — elbows, tees, sockets, unions, bends, bushes, nipples, caps and plugs, BSP threaded, hot-dip galvanised.
This is the workhorse range for plumbing, firefighting feeds, compressed air and irrigation across the emirates. It goes together with two wrenches and some PTFE tape, it comes apart again when something needs replacing, and the galvanising is what keeps it serviceable in a climate that punishes bare steel.
Galvanised or black
Both are the same malleable iron casting. Galvanised is hot-dip coated and used on water, outdoor and humid installations — the overwhelming majority of what we sell. Black is uncoated and used on gas, oil and dry indoor service, where zinc is either unnecessary or actively unwanted.
Threads and standards
Fittings are BSP threaded to BS EN 10242 and ISO 7, which is the standard form for UAE plumbing and utility work. NPT threaded galvanised is available on request, but do not mix the two — an NPT male in a BSP female will feel tight and then weep.
Unions are supplied with a conical seat as standard, which reseals reliably when a joint is broken and remade for maintenance.

90° and 45° elbows in female/female and male/female, equal and reducing tees, sockets and reducing sockets, long-sweep bends, unions, hex nipples, reducing bushes, backnuts, caps and plugs. Matching GI pipe and barrel nipples sit on the same counter.

GI Threaded Fittings — frequently asked
- Are GI fittings BSP or NPT threaded?
- Galvanised malleable iron fittings are BSP threaded to BS EN 10242 and ISO 7 as standard, which is what UAE plumbing, firefighting and compressed air installations normally use. NPT threaded galvanised is available on request.
- Can GI fittings be used on a fire main?
- Galvanised malleable iron is widely used on wet riser and sprinkler feed work within its pressure rating, but the specification must come from the fire consultant. Above the rating, or where the authority requires it, grooved or flanged carbon steel is used instead.
- What is the difference between black and galvanised malleable fittings?
- They are the same casting. Galvanised is hot-dip coated for corrosion resistance and is used on water, outdoor and humid installations. Black is uncoated and is used on gas, oil and dry indoor services where galvanising is unnecessary or undesirable.
- Do you stock GI fittings above 4 inch?
- Elbows, tees and sockets are held to 6". Above that, grooved couplings or flanged connections are the practical answer, since a 6" threaded malleable joint is heavy to make up and awkward to break for maintenance.
- Do you supply matching GI pipe?
- Yes. Galvanised pipe to BS 1387 in light, medium and heavy grades is held alongside the fittings, threaded and socketed, so the whole run can be quoted together.
