Industrial valves supplied from stock in Dubai
We hold gate, globe, ball, butterfly, check, strainer and safety relief valves in cast iron, cast steel WCB, stainless CF8 and CF8M, bronze and brass, from 1/2” through 12” in Class 150 and 300 and PN 10 to PN 25.
A valve is the component most often bought on the wrong basis. The size and the end connection are easy; the body material, the trim, the seat and the rating are where a line either works for ten years or weeps in six months.
Choosing the right valve
Gate valves isolate. Fully open or fully closed, unobstructed bore, minimal pressure drop. Do not throttle with one — the disc will chatter and wear.
Globe valves throttle and regulate. The flow path turns twice, which costs pressure and buys control.
Ball valves give a quarter-turn positive seal and suit frequent operation and fast shut-off.
Butterfly valves are compact and light for larger bores, which is why they dominate chilled water and HVAC work.
Check valves stop reverse flow — swing pattern on horizontal runs, lift pattern where the geometry demands it.
Y-strainers protect pumps and instruments from debris, and are the cheapest insurance on the line.
Body materials
Cast iron for water and general utility at moderate pressure. Cast steel WCB for process, steam and higher pressure. Stainless CF8 and CF8M — the cast equivalents of 304 and 316 — for corrosive and coastal duty. Bronze and brass for small-bore water, gas and instrument service.
Actuated valves
Pneumatic and electric actuated ball and butterfly valves are supplied to order, including fail-open and fail-closed configurations. Give us the supply voltage or air pressure with the enquiry.
Who buys valves from us
MEP contractors on chilled water and plumbing. Firefighting installers. Oil and gas maintenance teams. Water treatment and desalination plants. Facilities crews replacing a failed isolation valve today.
What to specify when requesting a quote
Valve type, nominal size, pressure class or rating, body material, trim, end connection — flanged, threaded, wafer or grooved — the medium and temperature, and for relief valves the set pressure and capacity.
Common Questions
Valves — frequently asked
- Should I use a gate valve or a ball valve?
- A gate valve is designed for isolation and should be fully open or fully closed; it gives an unobstructed bore and low pressure drop. A ball valve gives fast quarter-turn operation and a positive seal, and suits frequent operation. Neither should be used for throttling — that is a globe valve.
- What does WOG mean on a ball valve?
- Water, Oil, Gas — the non-shock cold working pressure rating in psi. An 800 WOG ball valve is rated to 800 psi on those media at ambient temperature. It is a different rating basis from an ASME class, so do not read the two as equivalent.
- Do you supply valves with actuators?
- Pneumatic and electric actuated ball and butterfly valves are supplied to order. Give us the valve size and class, the actuator type, the supply voltage or air pressure, and whether the action should be fail-open or fail-closed.
- What is CF8 and CF8M?
- They are the cast equivalents of 304 and 316 stainless. CF8M contains molybdenum and resists chlorides better, which makes it the right choice for coastal and seawater duty. On a valve body the casting grade matters as much as the trim.
- Can you supply safety relief valves set to a specific pressure?
- Yes. Safety and pressure relief valves are supplied set and tagged to your required set pressure. Give us the set pressure, the medium, the temperature and the required relieving capacity, and confirm whether a test certificate is needed.
